INTRODUCTION

Liposomal iron involves encapsulating iron molecules within lipid bilayers. This encapsulation protects the iron from interactions with other compounds, enhance its stability, improve its bioavailability and low incidence of side effects.

Manufacture

Liposomal Ferric Pyrophosphate insoluble is coated first with an inert material. This creates a protective layer over the API, which inhibits any further interaction with other ingredients. Further Lecithin coating is performed to prepare the Liposomal Iron.

SynonymFerric pyrophosphate
CAS no.10058-44-3
EINECS no.233-190-0

APPLICATIONS

Liposomal iron is an ideal API / FINE CHEMICALS / NUTRACEUTICAL for a wide range of iron-based medications, as it offers several advantages over traditional iron supplements:
Treatment of Iron deficiency Anemia and inflammatory Bowl disease.
Treatment of Celiac disease.
Pregnancy and Postpartum care.
Pediatric uses.
Daily supplement – Liposomal iron is available and the suggested dose is 30 mg/day for 8 to 12 weeks, depending on the conditions.
