INTRODUCTION
Phenyl chloroformate (PCF), an organic, volatile liquid, is an important reactant in chemical syntheses. It forms a series of intermediates that are further consumed to produce APIs, agrochemicals, and polymers. The chloroformate is also employed in proteomic research and itself is a phosgenation reagent.
Manufacture
Phenyl chloroformate is manufactured by phosgenation of phenol. Less hazardous synthesis route involves phenol, MDC, and triphosgene.

Ferrozine, chemically 3-(2-Pyridyl)-5,6-bis(4-phenylsulfonic acid)-1,2,4-triazine disodium salt, is a water-soluble solid. It is complexometric reagent for detection and estimation of iron.
Sodium thiosulfate is an inorganic compound, typically available as the white or colorless pentahydrate. The solid is an efflorescent (loses water readily) crystalline substance that dissolves well in water.
Sodium tert-butoxide is a stronger base (than primary and secondary alcoholates) and a non-nucleophilic base. It is flammable and moisture sensitive.
2,4-Dihydroxybenzophenone, popular as benzophenone-1 in cosmetic industry, is a highly conjugated bicyclic compound. The conjugation leads to its uses in cosmetic and other industries.
Permethrin is an insecticide in the pyrethroid family. Pyrethroids are synthetic chemicals that act like natural extracts from the chrysanthemum flower.
Succinonitrile is a colorless, low melting solid belonging to dinitrile category of organic compounds. The presence of two cyano groups renders the molecule reactive and thus it undergoes various reactions.
Piperazine is a cyclic ethylene amine with two secondary amine groups. Piperazine is supplied as (anhydrous) Piperazine 99%.
n-Butyllithium is a colorless, organic liquid. It belongs to the organometallic category of compounds. It participates in a variety of chemical reactions and acts diversly as lithiation, alkylation, metalating, and deprotonation agent.
Sorbitol 70% Solution is a slow-metabolizing sugar alcohol derived from fruits, corn and seaweed. It’s a sugar substitute found in foods such as frozen desserts, sugar-free chewing gum and diabetic candies.
