OnADD® – PLCW is a high viscosity, economical, organically modified Rheological additive for water-based system. It provides viscosity built up, good pigment suspension, excellent sag control and very good bio stability. It increases the water scrub resistance of the coating film.

ADVANTAGES

Viscosity Control
Rheological additives adjust the thickness of a fluid to ensure it has the right flow characteristics for application (e.g., brushing, spraying).
Thixotropy (Anti-Sagging)
Rheological additives provides thixotropy to the paint system . This thixotropic behavior is key in water-based paints, where the viscosity decreases during application (under shear) and recovers when at rest. This prevents the paint from sagging or running after application, leading to even coverage and sharp edges in the painted surface.
Application Properties
They enhance the ease of application, prevent sagging in vertical applications, and improve leveling and surface finish.

In Situ:
Add to the water rich phase as early in the manufacturing process as possible. Anionic surfactant can
enhances the thickening effect when used with OnADD® – PLCW
Pregel:
Pregel can be prepared by dispensing up to 2% – 3% of OnADD® – PLCW in water under high- speed
dispersion equipment with Cowles Blades.
Dosage :
Typical dosage of OnADD® – PLCW is from 0.3 to 1.5% depending upon the type of system and
degree of thickening or other properties desired
