INTRODUCTION

1-Aminoanthraquinone is a key intermediate used in the preparation of colorants including dyes and pigments as well as other specialty chemicals.

It is soluble in benzene, chloroform, ether, glacial acetic acid, hot nitrobenzene and hydrochloride, almost insoluble in wáter and slightly soluble in ethanol.​

It is used as a substituted anthraquinone. Anthraquinone is an aromatic organic compound which is a building block for a wide range of dyestuffs.

APPICATIONS

In addition to 1-Aminoanthraquinone being used as a dye intermediate in the synthesis of Disperse, Reactive and VAT dyes, it is also used as an analytical reagent.
